Default Animal Lover Build

Class: Ranger / Monk

Assumed items:
+1 to Expertise
+2 to Beast Mastery

Attributes: (cost)
Expertise: 1+1 (1)
Beast Mastery: 10+2 (61)
Protection Prayers: 10 (61)
Smiting Prayers: 11 (77)

Total attribute points used: 200/200

Skills:
1) Call of Brutality - (10,0,25) For 30 seconds, attacks by your animal companions have a 41% base armor penetration and deal +11 damage.

2) Otyugh's Cry (availability) - (5,0,30) All animals within 100' become hostile to your target and gain +20 armor for 30 seconds. Otyugh's Cry cannot turn charmed animals against their masters or their master's allies. (50% failure chance with Beast Mastery attribute of 4 or less.)

3) Judge's Insight - (10,2,10) For 17 seconds, target ally's attacks deal holy damage and have +20% armor penetration.

4) Word of Healing (availability) (elite) - (5,34,4) Heal target other ally for 58 points. Heal for an additional 72 points if that ally is below 50% health. This is an elite skill.

5) Strength of Honor - (10+,2,0) While you maintain this enchantment, target ally deals 7 more damage in melee.

6) Mending (availability) - (10+,2,0) While you maintain this enchantment, target ally gains health regeneration of +3.

7) Revive Animal - (5,6,20) Resurrect all nearby allied animal companions. They come back to life with 410 health.

8) Charm Animal - (10,10,0) Charm target animal. Once charmed, your animal companion will travel with you whenever you have Charm Animal equipped.

key here is to let your pet do the work lol.

a pet is sometimes the least considered enemy in pvp, so this just might work,......use Otyugh's Cry to make your pet and any other pet on the team to target the called target.

buff your pet with mending and strength of honor.
and also buff him with Judge's Insight and Call of Brutality just before he goes into battle., your pet should now be dealing atleast 25-30 dmg per hit, witch isnt shabby, and the target will not think twice about that dmg coming from the pet.

with this build, i would recomend a pet that attacks as fast as possible. and runs fast. im not sure witch pets are the best to use. but this would be a unique and fun build.

your pet should stay alive, because all you will be doing is focusing on your pet, with buffs and healing power.

most rangers that carry a pet do not buff it up, so in pvp thats why you see them dealing little damage.

but with the 2 skills that add up to 61% armor penatration and an added 18 dmg per hit, this could do alot of DPS, i just need to test it out some.

hope you enjoyed this unique build.

Hmmm sounds like a very interesting build as usual SuperJ24, you're doing a good work over there and I might test this build next BWE too, I've seen pets doing good jobs in 4on4-Random PvP already but this should make the whole "petting" much more fun! Looking forward for your next buildideas!

I thought Otyugh's Cry was a good skill but it is worthless as normal target calling will control your pet. Save the skill for something else and you will be much better off.
